Construction-Fourth Day of Editing

Unfortunately I'm am being forced to fill in the large gapes i left within the music video for more footage that wanted, for example, i initially wanted footage of our two characters meeting and reacting to each other, because we will not have another day of filming and so i am going to have to create a finished product with the footage we already have and so i am going to try and salvage all of the footage that was unusable and try to fill the gapes that were left. Overall i am very disappointed that we couldn't get more filming done and that the video isn't as diverse as i would have wanted but i feel it is still acceptable.

Construction-Fourth Day Of Filming - Cancelled.

Due to one of our actors having to cancel due to unforseen matters we have had to cancel our fourth day of filming. We are starting to get worried if we will ever really finish all of the filming.

Construction-Forth Day Of Editing (Green Screen)

Our next step was was being introduced to a new program that we used that was called "adobe after effects", this was the program that our group member, George used to learn how to create separate special effects for video that we used. The most vital special effect within our music video was created within after effects, witch was the green screen clip that we used, the program allowed us the cut and paste different backgrounds around motion with the clip. we were able to do this by removing colours for images and videos.

With this program we were able to create the image of aisleen walking alone with loneliness and pain in her walk, with fast motion traffic passing her in the background. This was done to show the pass of time, but mainly to show how our leading lady has recently become under the influence of class A drugs. The Green screen is often used to create another reality, a type of dream world where someone feels that anything is possible. And it is this escape from reality that often attracts the common person.

Construction-Third Day Of Filming

Within our music video we are using green screen technology, and our plan was to show Aisleen in front of the green screen while we show some footage of passers by walking past her on the street in fast motion while aisleen remains at normal speed. today, unfortunately, we only managed to complete the green screen footage. We initially planed to just get a straight angle shot of aisleen walking on the spot, but george brought to my attention that this would be the only time we had to film for the green screen so we would have to have a few "backup" shots, so we got shot from behind aisleen looking over her shoulder.

Construction-Third Day Of Editing

today, unfortunately it came to my attention, that we will not be having many more opportunities to get another day of filming and so I'm am being forced to fill in the large gapes i left within the music video for more footage that wanted, for example, i initially wanted footage of our two characters meeting and reacting to each other, however this now seems unlikely and so my time to finish the music video is running out. So to day i had to make the gapes smaller fill them with footage we already had, yet show it in a different way or use it within the right context, so the video would still make sense. I was also forced to make some shots much longer, such as the lip syncing scenes witch we could afford to stretch out.

Construction-Second Day Of Editing

Within The second day of editing, I was able to integrate all the new footage of the indoor scene, into the the time line i had already set out, using the lip syncing footage so it could stay in time with the music, allowing the music video cut back and forth from the lip syncing and the out door scene and the scenes including Aisleen. the footage we obtain on the last day of filming allowed us to show loads of different situations of our leading ladies struggling against her addiction.

We were able to create the image of emptiness within her life as she is continuously seen preparing to go out for the night yet the story refuses to move on as we continuously cut back to her in the mirror and never show her leaving. Another way we were able to emphasise this image was by changing the footage to black and white to show how her life lacked any class, energy or passion.

we then took full advantage of all the footage we got of her in the mirror, as to many the mirror is seen as one of the strongest, symbolic, prop within movies. we kept in mind the many idea behinds the image of mirrors, for example, looking into a mirror allows you to see your true self, we created many different images with the mirror, including the idea that she is constantly looking at herself therefore judging herself, or looking with discuss.
