Our artist needed to promote his new single on the radio so to do this we had to create a radio spot. This was a difficult and timely process but when we put time and effort in we managed to create a believable radio spot. To begin we opened garage band and selected voice to start laying down some vocals.
first off we need an introduction from our radio station, for our radio show, however we wanted our introduction to have a few funky audio effects that are very common amoung radio stations. firstly we add an echo effect introducing the radio station, however we then changed the frequency of the second part of the intro to make it sound high pitch.
We then introduced the radio show "Helix Radio", And we took a great sense of pride in the name of the show so we wanted to make the show sound as cool as possible and to do this we wanted to contrast the high pitch intro, from the earlier stage, and changed this frequency to make it sound very low pitched and deep.
Next we created the third and final introduction to our radio show. for this we simply searched on the effects list for a collage of funky electronic sound effects that is common amoung popular radio stations, and this would then lead straight in to our show.
The final parts of our creation was the introduction the DJ gives for the song. since this was just an intro from the DJ we felt it didn't need any audio effects to add. However, it still didn't sound convincing as a radio station therefore we decided to add background DJ music. To do this we had to insert the music in the layer below the DJs voice but overlapping and so, because it was only background music we had to lower the music's volume so the DJs voice can be heard.
