Construction-Second Day Of Filming

The second day of filming was fairly successful, i didn't get as much as i had hoped but i managed to complete the entire indoor scene. This is the scene involving our leading lady in her bedroom getting ready to leave, however is realising what her life has become. We started by recking her bedroom, and making it very untidy, to show the destruction and chaos of her life and how nothing is in order or how it should be, this girl knows nothing but destruction at this point in her life, after her body is used up and under the influence of many substances that are designed to destroy the body.

The footage we got mainly involved her looking in the mirror. We got various shots of Aisleen applying makeup in the mirror, this was a straight close up shot, witch i used to try and make the entire experience uncomfortable, she is looking at herself and what she has become and she is disgusted at what she has seen, and the audience is close enough to see the tears running down her face, making a strong impact. But on top of that you also have the metaphor of the mirror. How her reflection is always within shot as if her darker half or better half is alway looking down on her, as if controlling her or rejecting her.

We got a number of shot around her bed room, but like i said we didn't get as much filmed as i would have liked, all the footage was within her bedroom and we lacked any verity in setting, but i tried to make the most of the setting we had. Most effective was a low angle shot of her on the bed, to show her helplessness and hopelessness in spiral out of control, but also to create a feel of sympathy and pity. i feel that the footage that we managed to obtain will all be used within the music video. Overall i feel that the day's work was very successful but hopefully the next filming day will have a better result.
