We are planing to work with the initial idea for the 'offical music video' of the song however had desided to re-create it on a much more personal and serious level. For example we are planning to tell the story through a relationship, and therefore be cutting back and forth from two different stories while seeing the singer's body language and faceial expressions while he is singing inbetween just to enphasis the emotional involvement he has within the story, whereas, within the orginal music video the song is being sung from an outside view, making it very unpersonial and disconnected from emotion.
The first story being the main storyline over the whole video which is see the girl the song is about and her life now, and what she has become, from all the choses she has made, however, unlike the original music video she is still making choses, and is thinking about what her life could become she continues down the path of drugs and how much worse her life could be if she doesnt change her ways and clean up. Whereas, in the original music video, it is directed to suggest that all hope of change for this poor girl is lost.
The second story would be the other side of reality, we decided to have our main character to have a number of flashbacks throughout the intire video, to show the contrast between her life now and how her life was before she turned down the wrong path. Unlike the original music video we desided to show the moment in the girls life when she made the wrong choses and what drew or pushed her to that path, we are planning to show this through the seriousness of a relationship. However also decide to create a side of the story within the girls imagination, where we see what her future could be, as well as what her life could be if nothing had gone wrong. We are yet to start filming so these ideas are not set in stone, they maybe changed depending on how well they work with the equitment we have.
